Box of Four Hand Blown Christmas Ornaments:
Perfect as a gift for your loved ones or as an indulgence for yourself and your tree, these bundles of four Christmas Balls are the the same ornaments I sell separately, only with a fancy box and bow. Each ball is hand blown from molten glass by yours truly, and are guaranteed to add something special to this year's decorations.

These boxes can be individually made to your taste: if you'd like four pink ornaments, by all means we can do that, and that goes for any other colours I make as well. The box pictured here contains a random assortment of colours.

Each box is labelled as containing only fully handmade blown glass pieces.

Each ornament has a diameter of approximately 9.5cm (3.75"), and they weigh an average of 78g.

Traditional Hand Blown Christmas Ornaments
Individually hand blown using the same methods glassblowers have used since antiquity, these ornaments are a holiday classic just like great great great great great grandma may have had.

I make these Christmas balls in a variety of colours, (see the link below for more examples) including the multicoloured one pictured here. Each ornament begins life as liquid glass in a special glassblowing furnace, from which it's pulled and blown by mouth into a hollow sphere. During this process colour is added, which melts and is allowed to flow and combine throughout ornament, making each ball truly one of a kind: the color will never mix in the same way twice. While the piece is still hot a small glass loop is added to the top to make for easy hanging from a Christmas Tree or any other place one could wish to hang it, and finally it is slowly cooled over the course of 24 hours in a special glass kiln to ensure the glass is very strong and will last a lifetime.

Holiday Elf Head Ornaments
Gathered with the utmost of care (the elves barely feel a thing, and you can't imagine how much higher they can jump without their ungainly noggins weighing them down) these elf heads are there to remind you of a simpler time, when elves banged together toys in Santa's workshop and sang all inclusive songs of festive cheer and joy.

Also there was a duck there, but he's not important to this story.

Hanging Glass Holly Ornaments
Never wilting, fading, or poisoning the cat, this hand sculpted glass holly has all sorts of advantages over the real thing. Not to mention that it's 100% hand sculpted and made without the use of any molds or other such aids, or that it hangs nicely on a Christmas tree, doorways, or anywhere else you might fancy.

Glass Icicle Ornament
Some winters I look up at the rooftops and sigh: "not enough icicles!" I think. Then I come inside, and find no icicles. But I like icicles! How to solve this dilemma? Like most things in life this problem can be solved with glass, and hence, here I present hand sculpted glass icicles.

A Lump of Coal
For those who are sometimes on Santa's naughty list, each lump of coal is actually made entirely of hand sculpted glass. Each piece has a polished clear bottom to allow peering eyes to see inside and verify that yes, it is in fact a piece of glass art and should not therefor be fed into steam engines as a source of power.

Each piece has "A Lump Of Coal" hand engraved on the polished underside.

Hand Sculpted Glass Wine Stoppers
Each wine stopper consists of a hand sculpted glass top filled with a variety of colorful shapes and designs securely attached to a food grade stainless steel base. These wine stoppers are fully functional pieces of art, and will last for years, even decades, of regular use. As I sculpt the pieces entirely by hand no two wine stoppers will ever be exactly alike - making them a beautiful and unique addition to your table, your wine collection, as a special gift for the wine lover in your life, or as a colorful addition to celebrations such New Year's Eve, birthdays or anniversaries.

Each piece is discretely signed near the top of the base using a dremel: a diamond tipped engraving tool.

Aventurine Angel
Ethereal bands of aventurine gold are spun beautifully within these hand sculpted solid glass angels, creating unique and individual pieces that interact with light in a way that is sure to dazzle and impress. Each piece responds to light differently, indeed each responds to different types of light differently, casting delicate colour onto the surfaces upon which they stand, or glowing softly from within, illuminating each individual band of colour and taking on the wisp-like flows visible in the photograph here.

These pieces are the newest of my angel designs, and one I hold particularly dear. The gentle colours they cast throughout my showroom when the sun is just right and when I arrive each day reminds me how lucky I am to be doing what I do for a living, and inspires me each day to strive for my best.

These hand sculpted glass angels feature wings of textured and coloured glass, a solid hand sculpted body and head with a halo decorated with 23 karat gold leaf. Freestanding so as to be able to be placed wherever you'd like, this angel is a simple reminder of the beautiful things in life, of peaceful times and times when we've felt spiritually touched. Celebrating faith, health and a future unknown yet filled with hope for peaceful times ahead... while at the same time serving as a reminder during hard times that even these times serve a purpose in the scope of our lives.

With hand sculpted textured and coloured wings and a solid glass body and halo, this 2.95" tall glass angel is the smallest of the freestanding angels I make. Perfect as a gift to show people you care, as a piece to set around the house to make you smile each time you see it, or to place on a windowsill to catch the light and glow with the Sun's rays. Fully handmade without any molds or other such aids, and with a smooth base to ensure it stands properly wherever you wish.

Hanging Glass Angels
What could you do if you were a hand sculpted hanging glass angel? What couldn't you do! You could be the champion of a Christmas Tree, for one, or hang in a window to catch all the sunlight (the solar ray kind, not the dishsoap kind) and just shine and twinkle the day away. You'd make a pretty nifty gift, and you'd be tasty on... well, nothing actually - you are made of solid glass after all. Also you'd be all full of hand sculpted goodness that makes you special, interesting, and better than those mass manufactured stuff. Oh that's right, you could look down your nose... or... front of your spherical head I guess, at those not handmade and say "blargh." And they'd know what that means, 'cause you're a great communicator.

Jack-o'-lantern Ornament

A seasonal piece made for my October 2010 open house, these jack-o'-lanterns added a fun atmosphere to the studio and were a blast to make. So much fun in fact that I've decided to continue making them for future Halloweens, since what Halloween is complete without a blown glass jack-o'lantern? Only bad ones, I think.
