Glass Flower Mounted on Base: These flowers are a labour of love: both painstaking and rewarding. Each petal begins individually as a piece of molten glass brought and fused to the piece as a whole, and then sculpted by hand into its final shape. The piece is reheated, and another bit of molten glass is brought and the sculpting of the next petal begins - and so on. Slowly, the finished flower takes form, until finally it is placed in the annealer to gradually bring its temperature down over the course of the next few days.
